West Brom v Liverpool Betting Tips
As the season has progressed, Liverpool, who boast one of the best home records in the Premiership this season, have improved their away form - they've now won six of their fifteen away matches in the league, drawn four and lost five. However, despite some excellent recent efforts on rival soil, including a 7-0 FA Cup routing of Birmingham at St Andrews, they are still a far more efficient outfit when the Kop are behind them at Liverpool.Personally, I can easily envisage Bryan's Robson's West Brom bagging a point against Pool when Rafa Benitez's charges travel to the Hawthorns on Saturday, and at 11/4 with bluesquare backing the draw is my advice. The Baggies' problem is their defence. They've conceded as many goals as they have scored - twenty one - in their sixteen Premiership matches played at home during the current campaign. But as far as a home-goals-for records go, West Brom aren't doing badly at all; their tally of twenty one is not far shy of the likes of Spurs and Blackburn, currently in fourth and fifth places respectively, both of whom have scored twenty seven goals in home matches this season, albeit the latter side have played a game less at home.Liverpool have scored just seventeen times in their fifteen away matches - an average of just over a goal per game - and, despite their solid defence, they have conceded an average of a goal per game on their travels. All in all, this is a great opportunity for West Brom. They have three points in hand of fellow stragglers Birmingham and Portsmouth and, although those teams both have a game in hand of the Baggies, they face stiff tasks against Chelsea and Fulham respectively at the weekend, which will be an added incentive for West Brom to fight tooth and nail to get something out of this fixture.
