Holland vs Denmark will get the action underway on Saturday and the Dutch carry some very heavy expectations into this year's tournament. They go into Euro 2012 as the third choices in the betting behind Spain and Germany – having nearly won the World Cup a few years ago and kept most of that team together – it's a pretty reasonable expectation.

Holland are 4/7 for the win on Saturday.

Denmark are no strangers to the position that they're in right now and, while they're never favoured to actually win the win tournament they are usually capable of stringing together some good results. They are a lengthy 11/2 to get the victory against the Dutch tomorrow and the 11/4 draw would be viewed as a win also.

The feature fixture on Saturday is Germany vs Portugal and the Germans have been taken into less than even money by the bookmakers with a lot of them pricing the Germans at 19/20 or so. They are second favourites to win and also have several contenders vying for top goalscorer. This is a must-win for Germany as falling 3 points behind at this point would make a tough group even harder.

Portugal are considered one of the reasonable outsiders to win the Euro tournament and they were about 16/1 or so at the outset. They're a generous 3/1 to get the victory over the Germans and their explosive offence just might be able to get the job done against a German side that can be a bit shaky defensively.
