England are certainly in with a shout on Tuesday as they face off against Ukraine, looking to secure a spot in the next stage of competition. The entire group remains up for grabs and Roy Hodgson's men need a draw to ensure progression while a win may be enough if the other result goes their way. Sweden have little to play for against the French but we have seen bigger surprises than that. The Swedes may be looking to salvage some pride and take a big scalp with them on the way out.
WILLIAM HILL PROMO CODE FOR ENGLAND VS UKRAINE!
Wayne Rooney has been claiming on twitter that he is ready to roll on Tuesday and give the Three Lions the massive boost that they've been waiting for. Their 3-2 victory over Sweden was one of the better games of the tournament and England responded with some intelligent tactical moves at the right times and got some luck when they needed it.
Rooney is listed at a very slim 5/4 price tag to score a goal any point in the match and he's 5/1 to score the first or last goal of the fixture. Two or more goals from Wayne Rooney pays out at 6/1 while a Wayne Rooney hat trick is listed at 33/1. Imagine that.
It remains to be seen whether Danny Welbeck or Andy Carroll will partner Wazza up front or whether Hodgson will make some big moves and somehow accommodate all three of them. James Milner has been the most underwhelming player on the pitch in the last few fixtures and he may find himself dropped and Rooney slotted into right midfield, for example.
Stranger things have happened.
England are the significant favourites to get the outright win as they trade in the neighbourhood of 6/5 while Ukraine sit at 5/2. They will have the home fans behind them and it appears as though Andriy Shevchenko will be fit for this one having participated in a group training session today.
Shevchenko is 2/1 for an anytime goal and 7/1 to score first or last. He's 10/1 to grab two or more and 50/1 for a hat trick.
Theo Walcott was also confirmed fit by Roy Hodgson after pulling up in training with a niggling hamstring injury. He looks to have recovered and will be set to play a part in Tuesday's match after proving the game-changing substitution against Sweden.
