WIMBLEDON SEMI FINALS FEDERER VS HAAS AND MURRAY VS RODDICK
We're down to the final four of the 2009 Wimbledon Men's Division and we have two absolutely platinum matches taking place later on today. As it currently stands, Roger Federer is the short-odds favourite to win Wimbledon 2009 Men's Singles with a 2/5 price. Scotland's Andy Murray is still holding strong at the same 5/2 he's been listed at the entire tournament while Andy Roddick carries a 12/1 price and Tommy Haas is available at 25/1. William Hill is refunding losing singles stakes on Rafael Nadal and are making him a non runner in multiple bets. Bets on the number of Grand Slam events still stand and aren't affected by that decision. William Hill has a brand new forecast betting market set up for the final. You can back Federer to Beat Murray in the final at 11/10. You can back Murray to beat Federer in the final at 5/2. Federer to beat Roddick in the final pays out at 12/5. The longest odds are on Haas to beat Roddick in the final at 66/1. In terms of the match betting, we have Roger Federer's odds at 1/12 against Tommy Haas' 7/1 price. Federer is expected to win in straight sets with 3-0 paying 8/15. I'm a bit more inclined to back Federer 3-1 at 11/4. Federer 3-2 pays 9/1. You can take Federer (-6.5) at 11/10. There is handicap betting on all the sets and an absolute myriad of other wagers available. Andy Murray vs Andy Roddick is a really strong clash and could be an absolutely key moment in Murray's career. If he can pull off the victory, and do it in a fashion that makes him look like he can legitimately challenge Federer on his best form, then this tournament is going to be blown wide open. With the short price on Federer not expected to keep the patriotic punters from piling onto Andy Murray, you may struggle to find value on the final. Andy Murray's odds are very slim, at 2/7 for the outright win, and Roddick certainly seems to have a chance at 11/4. You can take Murray in straight sets at 13/8 or back him 3-1 at 5/2. I don't see Murray pulling off a straight sets win against a player as talented as Andy Roddick, so 3-1 may be the right way to go.
