World Cup 2014 Betting Tips and Preview Pt 2

The Germans are considered to be the top European side coming into the competition and you can back them to win the entire thing at an 11/2 price tag which puts them just ahead of 7/1 Spain. The German side will be looking to do everything they can to really put the other sides to the sword here and it must be admitted that they still have a very young, dynamic core of players who will continue to grow and get better through this tournament. The current period of German dominance in Europe isn’t going to let up any time soon if these players continue to gel.

The Spanish side aren’t quite the force they once were but still command plenty of respect. The central midfield of Xavi and Iniesta isn’t what it was previously but there is still lots of versatility and dynamism in the side itself. 7/1 is probably a better price than what many thought they would get about two years ago but it’s worth keeping the money in your pocket right now.

The really interesting outside option right now is Belgium - who can be backed at 14/1 and are the fifth-best-priced selection to win the 2014 World Cup. They boast a young and improving line-up of players and don’t exactly have the most difficult type of draws. One of the other nice things they have playing in their favour is that there really aren’t any genuine stand-out superstars on the side - just lots of really, really good players and this might make them harder to play against than the Brazil’s and Argentina’s as some sides won’t know too much about Belgium’s line-up.

France are also considered in the mix at 20/1 and they will be hoping for their first really good international tournament in a while. Colombia deserve respect every year and are a good shout to get out of their group. They are currently trading at 22/1 but will likely drop quickly after a good first performance.

Italy and Uruguay are both 25/1 while Holland can be backed at 28/1 with England and Portugal both priced at 33/1.
