World Cup Squad - Ladbrokes on Cambell and Cole

DESPITE loss of form and injury, Arsenal defenders Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole are odds on to make Sven Goran Eriksson's World Cup squad, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.Full-back Cole limped out of a reserve team game against North London rivals Tottenham on Monday night, whilst centre half Campbell has not played since his poor performance against West Ham at Highbury at the start of February. But the bookies are confident both men will be named in the Swede's 23 man squad which will be announced in May ahead of this summer's World Cup in Germany.Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "We've already had a lot of interest in the make-up of the squad and you have to think that Cole and Campbell would be included."Neither would make it if the tournament was next week - but both have plenty of time to recover fitness and form and have been integral parts of Sven's side over the last few years."Sven's preparations for the tournament begin at Anfield tonight (Wednesday) against Uruguay, who missed out on qualification after losing to Australia in a play-off.The betting public have been quick to latch on to Wayne Rooney's return to form after the star striker notched twice in Sunday's Carling Cup Final win over Wigan.Rooney is 6/5 to trouble the scorer at any time in the match, 4/1 to get the game's first goal, 10/1 to pounce with a header, 7/1 to convert a penalty and 20/1 to bag a hat-trick.Former Old Trafford favourite Diego Forlan, who scored against Rangers for Villareal in the Champions League last week, is 8/1 to score first, 5/2 to score at any time, 16/1 to get a header, 7/1 to score with a penalty and 40/1 for a hat-trick. With all five Home Nations in action, Ladbrokes are offering 50/1 that they all record a victory, 20/1 that four of them triumph and 8/1 that three win. You can also have 2/1 that two will be celebrating, 8/13 that one of them does and 14/1 that none of them emerge on the right side.Sven's men are 4/9 to see off the South Americans at Anfield, with the draw available at 13/5 and an unlikely away victory 11/2.Wales are 6/4 to defeat England's first round opponents Paraguay, who are also 6/4 with the draw 11/5.Walter Smith's Scotland are 6/4 to beat Switzerland at Hampden, the Republic of Ireland the same price against Sweden and Northern Ireland 5/4 to get the better of Estonia.Ladbrokes have now priced up England's World Cup group games. The Three Lions are 4/7 to see off Paraguay, 1/5 to beat Trinidad and Tobago and 4/5 to get past Sweden.LATEST BETTINGWill Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell both make the World Cup squad ?Yes 1/3No 11/5Rooney ForlanTo score at any time 6/5 5/2First goalscorer 4/1 8/1Header 10/1 16/1Penalty 7/1 7/1Hat-trick 20/1 40/1How many of the five Home Nations will win ?0 14/11 8/132 2/13 8/14 20/15 50/1International FriendliesEngland 4/9Draw 13/5Uruguay 11/2Wales 6/4Draw 11/5Paraguay 6/4Scotland 6/4Draw 2/1Switzerland 8/5Northern Ireland 5/4Draw 11/5Estonia 7/4Republic of Ireland 6/4Draw 11/5Sweden 6/4England's World Cup GamesEngland 4/7Draw 9/4Paraguay 4/7England 1/5Draw 4/1Trinidad and Tobago 10/1England 4/5Draw 11/5Sweden 3/1
