WTA FRENCH OPEN BETTING JANKOVIC, HANTUCHOVA EYE QUARTERFINALS

Serbian diva, Jelena Jankovic and statuesque Slovakian, Daniela Hantuchova have set up an attractive clash in the women’s singles fourth round at the French Open and William Hill bookmakers have released several eye-pleasing odds to match.
Jankovic is a 4/11 favourite to win outright while Hantuchova is a tempting 2/1 puppy.
On paper, these two match-up rather well; they are level 3-3 lifetime, which includes a 1-1 mark on clay.
Hantuchova enters this match having won their most recent clash on clay; at the 2010 Charleston quarters where she beat Jankovic 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Going on their last meeting this match has the potential to be a riveting contest. Importantly, the result to Hantuchova adds shine to her puppy odds. Methinks, she can beat Jankovic today, especially after watching her play against Wickmayer the other day.
Jankovic is only an Evens play to win in straight sets while a 13/5 bet to win 3-1. Hantuchova is a 9/2 bet to win in straight sets and a 19/4 bet to win three sets.
A two-set affair, irrespective of the winner, is somehow the favoured outcome at 1/2. A three-set affair, which seems the more plausible result is listed at a tempting 11/8.
Interestingly, Jankovic is a 1/2 bet to take both the first and second set, in set betting markets. Hantuchova is a 6/4 bet on each first and second set.
If Hantuchova can maintain her focus through the course of this match she should beat Jankovic. I recognize this might not be the popular bet. Punters will surely pile on top of Jankovic's odds in the market but I think pounding Hantuchova's odds offers more value.
