YORK RACECOURSE BETTING TIPS FOR MAY 30

The Class 2 Sportingbet.com Heritage Handicap is set to run tomorrow at York racecourse and we've got some very excellent betting opportunities if you're looking to make a few cheeky bets. There is really no distinctly massive favourite for this one with the lowest-priced horse listed at 5/1. This is Sirens Gift, coming out of the A M Balding yard, and while he hasn't pulled off a victory since September of 07, a lot of betting action is going down on this equine. Additionally, we've got Hamish Mcgonagall just behind carrying an 11/2 price. His last victory came at Musselburgh in mid October where he triumphed over a field of 16. He'll be without his preferred jockey David Allan and I think this could certainly factor into the ultimate equation. 7/1 Cheveton is in much better form than the others and already has a victory under his belt this year, when he triumphed on the All-Weather surface at Southwell on March 31. He had an incredible run last year through the late summer- taking 5 first place finishes in a row. Based on form, I'm backing Cheveton each-way. Paddy Power is also running a promotion on this race that will refund your losing single stake if your selection finishes second to the SP favourite. In the 3:15 Stowe Family Law LLP Grand Cup, Furmigadelagiusta comes into this one fresh off a win at York last week where he bested a field of 18 in the Jorvik Stakes Handicap. He's a good finisher and I expect him to be able to do the job if he can position himself well for the final turn. He'll have to hope that Friston Forest doesn't run his best race as he comes into this on the back of three straight fictories, including the Concourse 2750 where he bested Veracity, who is a very quality horse. The only thing keeping me from going all in on Friston Forest is the fact that he hasn't raced since early February and prior to that you have to go back to October of 08. I think an each-way forecast on these two is a very wise bet.
