YU NA KIM SET FOR GOLD ACCORDING TO LATEST 2010 OLYMPIC FIGURE SKATING ODDS

If you’re looking to back Yu Na Kim to win Olympic gold tonight, then you’re going to have to be content with a very short price. The South Korean skating sensation is listed at 1.08 to win the Gold Medal tonight. She had a record-setting performance in her short program and now looks set to confirm her status as skating’s global superstar.

Her closest competition comes from Mao Asada who is listed by bookmakers at 5.5 to upset Kim and win the gold. Canadian Joannie Rochette, skating in the wake of her mother’s sudden death earlier this week, is currently in good position for a bronze medal.
Miki Ando is listed at 41.0 while Carolina Kostnerita, American Rachael Flatt and Mirai Nagasu are all available at unlikely prices of 81.0 Alena Leonova is at 101.0 and Laura Lepisto is the long-shot at 151.0.
Head-to-head betting is available for this one, but they have left Yu Na Kim out of it here as she looks likely to beat everybody else. Mao Asada is 1.4 to beat out Joannie Rochette, who trades at 2.75. I actually like the Canadian here and I think she could turn in an excellent performance, however I don’t think either of them have a chance of catching Kim unless she somehow makes a very dramatic and high-profile mistake. And she will likely need to make more than one.
Miki Ando is 1.65 to beat out Rachael Flatt, who is available at 2.1. Flatt is favoured to top Carolina Kostnerita with the American skater priced at 1.6 and Kostnerita listed at 2.2. Miki Ando is also expected to top Mirai Nagasu with Ando at 1.5 and Nagasu listed at 2.5.
Yu Na Kim can more or less start celebrating her gold medal now, this looks like a battle for silver. Keep in mind that live betting should be available on this with Ladbrokes and I’m sure that plenty of twists and surprises will unfold along the way.
