2010 Ryder Cup Day Three Latest Betting Odds for Delayed Matches
- By Allan Pederson on October 3, 2010 09:00 GMTMore rain is arriving at Celtic Manor and day three of the 2010 Ryder Cup look like it will be delayed until at least 12 noon.
The United States are currently up 6-4 but Europe ended day two with a big rally and they were ahead in nearly every contest at the close of Day Two's play.
The Europeans remain the odds-on favourites to win the Ryder cup but it isn't exactly a massive margin with popular UK bookmaker William Hill listing the Europeans at 4/5 while the USA trade at 11/8 to lift the Cup.
The Europeans are odds-on favourites to win virtually every fourball and foursome contest and the Stricker/Woods vs Donald/Westwood foursome looks completely over with the Europeans paying an ultra-slim 1/50 while the Americans trade at 22/1.
McDowell/McIlroy vs Johnson/Mahan shows the Europeans at 1/9 and the Americans at 8/1.
The Europeans look the most vulnerable in the Harrington/Fisher vs Furyk/Johnson fourball but they are still odds-on at 8/13. Furyk and Johnson trade at a plausible 9/4.
The Molinari brothers are priced at 7/10 to beat the Cink/Kuchar pairing- who are still in it at a 2/1 price. Watson/Overton are 4/1 to beat Hanson/Jimenez at 4/11.
Poulter/Kaymer are solid 3/10 favourites over Mickelson/Fowler, who trade at 5/1.
There is still plenty of room for the odds to move around but the value bets are clearly on the Americans. The USA team excelled on day one when the conditions were a bit dodgy and if the weather continues to be a major factor then the US team might be getting a bit of help from mother nature.
