2021 US Open Latest Betting

Things are definitely getting interesting at Torrey Pines on the outskirts of San Diego as the top golfers in the world are all contesting this tricky seaside course this weekend. Things got off to a solid start on Thursday with some rather familiar names topping the leaderboard. The bookmakers have some solid odds laid out for today’s action and they seem to think that we are poised for a shakeup today.

As it currently stands, punters will find Russell Henley and Louis Oosthuizen topping the competition at a score of -4 which puts them just a shade ahead of Francesco Molinari who is nipping at their heels with a -3 score coming into the second day’s play.

Rafael Cabrera-Bello is also sitting at -3 while a large pack of former major championship winners are poised at -2 and look set to make a big impression over the next three days’ action.

You’ll find the likes of Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm and Hideki Matsuyama all at two under with Xander Schauffle also very much in the mix at the same score. This could be setting up to be his tournament if he can put in a breakout performance today and keep the pressure on his peers.

The bookmakers seem to think that this one could be heading Jon Rahm’s way with the Spaniard priced at an 11/2 listing which makes him the lukewarm favourite. Koepka is also a major player in the market for obvious reasons and you’ll find him available around a 6/1 margin which makes him a sharp play before the early pairs tee off on Friday.

Louis Oosthuizen is priced similarly to Koepka while Schaufelle can be backed around a 12/1 margin. Rory McIlroy (who is usually underpriced by European bookmakers) can be had at 14/1 while Hideki Matsuyama is priced around 18/1 and it would be a major statement if he was able to win another major championship this year.
