2013 Ashes Final Test Betting Tips Part 2

Tim Bresnan proved to be Broad’s able deputy in the Australian destruction but the bowler picked up an injury in the process and will be out for quite some time. Chris Tremlett has been called up by the England selectors to finally make an Ashes 2013 appearance.

It is no coincidence that Tremlett has been brought in to bowl on his home surface at the Oval, but his figures this year at the county level haven’t been quite as good as we have seen in his appearances for England. Watch for Tremlett to attempt to use this Ashes test as a showcase for what he can truly do. You also expect the pitch will be livened up a bit so his seam bowling will be able to secure the stage it truly deserves.

Chris Tremlett is an impressive 18/1 to be named as the Man of the Match in this fixture with Graeme Swann currently looking like the stand-out selection on what many expect to be a turning pitch. Punters will find Swann trading at 9/1 and he has held up just as well as anybody in this series when called upon.

Alastair Cook, Ian Bell, Kevin Pietersen, Stuart Broad and James Anderson are all priced at 12/1 to receive Man of the Match honors while Michael Clarke is priced at 12/1 as well and is the best-priced Australian at this point in time. Ryan Harris can be backed at 14/1 while Joe Root and Jonathan Trott are both interesting options at a 16/1 price tag.

Punters can lock in a decent price on Ian Bell to score a century in either innings and he can be backed at 11/4 to do so. Bell has been the most consistent of all the English batsmen and he’s been able to step in and help steady the ship at several key points in this series that looks like a blow-out scorewise, but has actually been much closer than it might look. England have that habit of winning the key moments, however, and Bell has been an important ingredient in these key results.
