Zach Johnson is a 9/1 shot to hold onto the impressive lead that he has been cultivating. Brandt Snedeker is a 12/1 shot while Dustin Johnson can be backed at a 16/1 price tag. Henrik Stenson and Adam Scott are both available at a 20/1 price tag right now.
Lee Westwood is a 25/1 shot right now and that’s interesting because he is sitting at +1 right now, six strokes back from Zach Johnson. Angel Cabrera is at a -2 score and he trades at a much higher price than Westwood with a 33/1 listing currently floated by most European bookmakers.
Francesco Molinari is also priced at 33/1 and he was just finishing up his day of golf as this article was being written. He looks to be putting together a bit of a bid for this tournament and will be looking to make a big statement on day two.
Juan Miguel Jimenez has just been trimmed into 33/1 by several bookmakers after finishing things up with a flourish on day one.
Other notable contenders include perennial challenger Ian Poulter while Jordan Spieth sits at a 50/1 shot. A number of big names are available at 66/1 and they include Webb Simpson and Hunter Mahan. Indian challenger Shiv Kaipur can be backed at an 80/1 price tag.
Anybody who is really looking to have a bash on this one will back Mark O’Meara with his lengthy 80/1 price now looking good value for a player only one shot back off the lead. If he can hold onto that impressive position on the table he is definitely in the mix over the next few days.
