2017/18 Ashes Betting Preview PT 2

Australia to win by a tough-fought 3-2 margin sits at a price of around 8/1 and that’s not a bad price though you would probably have to fancy at least one draw happening in the competition.

England’s shortest price tag in the correct score market is a 3-2 victory which would reward as high as a 16/1 listing for the correct score.

In the outright winner market you’re looking at England trading as high as a 10/3 shout against a 4/9 listing on the Aussies and a drawn series paying out with a 7/1 margin. This one looks to be a rather interesting market to keep your eye on as the tournament unfolds - particularly while certain matches are actually unfolding in-running.

Steve Smith comes into the competition with the shortest price to be named as the top Australian batsmen in the 2017/18 Ashes. You’ll find a few different bookmakers listing him at a best price of around 7/4 while his closest competition looks to be David Warner who can be backed a ways off that with a 3/1 margin at the time of this writing.

The top English batsman looks to be a bit closer of an affair with a 9/4 price tag out there on Alastair Cook with Joe Root just getting the edge from the bookmakers with a 13/8 price tag.

Johnny Bairstow is probably the surprise quantity here if you’re looking for some vaule in the English Top Batsman market and he’s trading anywhere from a 6/1 to a 7/1 price tag right now.
