2018 Masters At Augusta National
- By A.J. Ryder on March 19, 2018 17:57 GMTThe Masters is always one of the most widely-anticipated Major Championships of the entire year in the golf world and this time around it’s no different with a resurgent Tiger Woods having made huge strides in recent weeks and now looks like he could be on the verge of capturing his first PGA Tour win since his spectacular fall from grace five years ago.
There is a lot to like about Woods’ chances and the action at Augusta National is expected to be really interesting this year. Of course, the American faces some very stiff competition from a number of in-form players who all looking to kick off the road to the FedEx Cup with a massive point total here.
The wagering really seems to be between Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods right now with all of them favoured around the same price as the outright favourites. McIlroy seems to be getting the edge from a number of golf observers as the slight favourite amongst the three.
Justin Thomas is also very much in the mix here but is just a bit longer odds than what you’ll find on the other three that seem to be absorbing most of the wagering interest.
Jordan Spieth is definitely one to keep your eye on and he has every chance to make an impression here. It’s also worth remembering that Justin Rose is right in the mix too.
Interesting outsiders like John Rahm and Thomas Pieters make this one especially interesting and you’ll note that Pieters was able to muster up a top five finish last year at Augusta.
