A drawn series, which is a distinct possibility, can be backed at a 13/2 margin right now and that could be a really solid price - particularly if we wind up with a drawn first test.

There are a number of other really interesting wagering opportunities available before the kick off of the Ashes itself with the bookmakers offering up some markets such as correct (series) scoreline, top batsman, top bowler and an interesting wager on which test match destination will host the highest scoring affair.
It looks as though the bookmakers are pricing an English series victory at 6/1 as the most likely outcome with a 3-1 margin being floated just a step behind at a 13/2 price tag. A 4-1 margin pays out at a 7/1 price tag while the shortest priced Australian victory is a margin of 3-2 which trades at a 7/1 listing.
The highest scoring test match is expected to be Headingley, which can be backed around a 21/10 margin while Kennington Oval is trading around a 12/5 margin right now. Old Trafford would reward at 5/1 while Edgbaston sits at 11/2.
Should Lord’s wind up being the highest scoring test match then you’ll be looking at a 6/1 payout and there are a number of different ways that this market could play out - with the weather likely playing the most important role.
