There is plenty of competition to be expected from the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open which kicks off in Torrey Pines over the weekend with a lot of golf observers thinking this could be another breakthrough tournament for none other than Tiger Woods.

While he isn’t coming into the contest as the outright favourite, Woods has plenty of appeal with bookmakers listing him as one of the main contenders to win the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open.

Jon Rahm is coming into the contest as the betting favourite but he still trades into the single digits with most major bookmakers and there is a bit of a log jam at the top end of the market with a few really talented contenders all in the mix to pull off a victory in the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open.

Justin Rose is available as the second favourite outright with a price anywhere from 10/1 to 14/1 while Rory McIlroy is priced as a really solid selection with a listing comparable to Rose and a few other high profile golfers.

Tiger Woods, who is playing at one of his home courses, is most definitely going to be taking some betting volume but you reckon that many will be looking to see how he performs on the first days play before staking any considerable amounts on him this time.

Rest assured, however, that if Woods puts in a great opening day then his listing will drop to about a quarter of where it is now.
