Augusta’s course is one of the most respected on the entire Pro Tour and the history of the course always adds a little bit of spice to this massive golf event Tyson which is also turned into a major wagering event for the global Marketplace as well.
This time around it appears as though Rory McIlroy is the outright favorite to win the 2019 Masters tournament and the bookmakers are not entirely convinced that he stands head and shoulders above the competition and that's why you'll find that is priced trades around a 12/1 listing as the outright favourite.
He faces some pretty stiff competition from a couple other really solid competitors namely Dustin Johnson who can be backed at a 10/1 price all the way up to a 12/1 price with several top bookmakers. Justin Thomas is also giving him a run for his money and he trades around 12/1 as well.
Jordan Spieth was victorious here a couple of years ago and he certainly knows his way around this course so you can bank on him being a very interesting contender - particularly if he is well positioned after the first day's play. Look for Spieth to be available going into the contest around a 14/1 price tag with a number of top European bookmakers.
Other notable contenders include the likes of Tiger Woods - who is a very enticing 16/1 and seems to be coming into form at just the right time. He certainly knows what a statement a victory at Augusta would mean about his comeback to the upper echelons of golf.
