It probably goes without saying that this year’s golf season has been defined by the emergence of Bryson DeChambeau and his big-swinging style looks to be ushering the world of golf into a new era after it was turned upside down by the likes of Tiger Woods 20 years ago. 

DeChambeau has put together a great volume of work this year and other interesting contenders like Brooks Keopka and, to a certain extent Jon Rahm, all appear to have the golf world at their feet. 

The bookmakers have DeChambeau listed as one of the only contenders with a single digit price to win the US Masters and you’ll find him trading around an 8/1 margin at the time of this writing. A few books even go as low as a 15/2 price tag on him to get the tournament victory. 

If you genuinely think he’s going to win then it’s probably worth backing him now, but one has to assume that the course could play against his strengths as a lot of finesse is required here at Augusta as opposed to outright power and long drives.
