- By Allan Pederson on August 8, 2013 15:02 GMTThe Man of the Match betting has been competitive throughout the whole series and you can lock in a solid price of 9/1 on Jimmy Anderson, who has had an Ashes series to remember and will be looking to push on with even further heroics at Chester-Le-Street this weekend.

Alastair Cook can be backed at a 10/1 price for Man of the Match, while Graeme Swann is also available at 10/1. He’s been a more understated figure than Anderson who has flashed so much quality, but Swann has been a key wicket-taker at many instances during the test.
Michael Clarke looks to be Australia’s key figure once again here and he’s a 12/1 shot to pull off man of the match. You would expect that the Australians wouldn’t just need to win the test but Clarke would need to hit another century in order to have any chance of picking up Man of the Match honours.
Ian Bell has been able to step in and steady England at several instances throughout the 2013 Ashes series and he’s looking to kick on with another key century in this test if he could. He is on the verge of knocking four 100 knocks in a row, which hasn’t been seen since the days of Bradman. Joe Root and Jonathan Trott trade alongside Kevin Pietersen at a 14/1 price tag for Man of the Match.
The real wildcard is likely to be Graham Onions, who is being brought into the side for the first time on his home ground - where he has been known to terrorize batsmen with his mastery of fast bowling on that particular pitch. Look for him to kick on nicely here and produce a solid performance at a quality price of 16/1.
