ATP MASTERS CINCINNATI BETTING FEDERER VS DAVYDENKO LIVE BETTING

The much-anticipated quarterfinal clash between Roger Federer and Nikolay Davydenko is underway at the Cincinnati Masters and Live Betting markets are hopping with action as betting pours down the wire worldwide.
Popular UK bookmaker, William Hill has lines open and trading is moving at a furious pace as I write.
Federer is holding on to his favourable position, the very position with which he entered the match. He was the 2/7 favourite to win outright and so far, he is off to a promising start, red lining his game against Davydenko.
Admittedly, there was some doubt about Federer ahead of the clash because he had yet to play a full match in Cincinnati. Having barely seen any court time, in other words, he was underprepared for this clash, led many to the opinion that he might be vulnerable to the upset.
Federer, who is bidding to defend his title in Cincy at this crucial juncture before the US Open, advanced into the final eight having only deposited seven games in two rounds. He opened his tournament against Denis Istomin on Wednesday and took the early 5-2 lead before Istomin rolled his ankle and retired mid-match.
He received a free pass in to the quarterfinals when Philipp Kohlschreiber withdrew from their last 16 clash.
Not being match-warm understandably casts doubt on any player, even Federer. Fact is though he had put in a lot of court time in Toronto, where he reached the final before losing to Andy Murray, and thanks largely to his Toronto account he had the market’s confidence.
Davydenko entered the match as the 5/2 underdog bet. The Russian poses a legitimate threat to Federer these days because of wins in London and Doha. Entertaining the upset is not an outrageous exercise.
Davydenko however is fresh after a wrist injury. Since returning to tournament play, he has struggled to string together any sort of match-winning streak and that doesn’t augur well for him.
In Cincinnati, he has his first back-to-back winning streak and finally looks to be enjoying credible form. Question is, is it enough to suggest an upset is on the horizon.
Time will tell.
Whichever way this match unfolds it is already highly entertaining stuff. Both are playing some serious tennis. May the better player win.
