Central Districts vs. Victoria Match Preview
- By Adam Currie on September 15, 2010 04:21 GMTVictoria head into their show-down with Kiwi outfit Central Districts as odds on favourites to win.
With both teams having been comprehensively in their opening games, both will be looking to jump- start their campaign and try and prevent any further daylight between themselves and the tournament leaders.
With Victoria having an absolute torrid time in the middle, against an inspired Warriors side, kingpins such as David Hussey and Brad Hodge will be seeking to resurrect a side that were clearly rusty in their opener...with no better opportunity than to do so than against arguably the weakest side in the tournament.
Central Districts had an absolute shocker in their tournament opener, which saw them crumble to 94 all out against Chennai. With Doug Bracewell top scoring with 30, a lot needs to be done if the Kiwi contingent are to challenge in this game at all.
All in all, things don’t look good for Central in this tournament, with Victoria clearly going to come out firing on the back of their disappointing opener.
This should be a comfortable win for the Aussies, and a potential knock- out punch for the mediocre men from the land of the long white cloud.
