The first matchday of the 2012/13 Champions League is halfway done and we're a few hours away from kick-off of the Wednesday fixtures. The odds have shuffled around a bit on several of these matches and it looks like punters are moving away from Chelsea and onto Juventus as they have been eased to 7/5 from 6/5 yesterday.

Expect a bit of movement in the build-up to a few of the more competitive-looking fixtures. The matches involving big favourites generally have much of the late volume priced in. Bayern Munich continue to hold at 4/9 while Barcelona sit at 1/10 as they play host to quality Russian side Spartak Moscow.
Manchester United have also held at around 1/3 against Turkish visitors Galatasaray.
Shakhtar Donetsk face off against little known side Nordsjaelland and they carry a very slim 1/5 to get the result at home. Lille go into their fixture against BATE Borisov at a 4/9 price and that's actually pretty good value for a side with a solid record in Europe – particularly in the early phase of the group stages.
One of the most competitive matches is the Celtic vs Benfica encounter and the Scottish side continue to hold up at 5/2 while Benfica have been eased to 23/20 from the 21/20 they were at yesterday. Look for the draw to be a popular selection there – it trades at 11/5 pre-match.
The Celtic match really just comes down to how much of a factor the home crowd can be.
Sporting Braga take on CFR Cluj in the battle of teams you don't know much about. Braga go in as the 4/9 favourites with Cluj priced at 13/2.
Some interesting selections for the day include:
Double Result: Benfica/Draw @ 12/1
Shinji Kagawa to score anytime @ 6/4
Antonio Valencia to score first @ 15/2
Draw/Barcelona @ 4/1
