England 2015 Ashes Special Bets PT 2

Adam Lyth is another who has really started to make his presence felt with the bat and he’s going to have a massive opportunity to step up here and become a genuine player on the world stage by producing some stand-out performances with the bat. He’s shown indication that he’s able to handle the pressure and the big stage as well so you can bank on him having a go at this market.

Right now, Lyth hovers around a 5/1 margin which puts him right alongside Ian Bell for top batsman.

Gary Ballance is always in the mix too and he’s been able to produce some really good knocks over the last couple of years. If he can really buckle down and stay disciplined with the bat and produce some quality stuff then he could be in for an absolutely monster Ashes series.

The top bowler betting markets are a bit less competitive with James Anderson being the significant favourite a few weeks ahead of the competition and rightfully so. Anderson has been an absolute stalwart in the England attack and he’s going to have some favourable conditions to go about his work this summer. There are some question marks over the total portrait of his fitness but Anderson seems to be ready and willing to step up and produce an Ashes performance that may play a significant part in defining his long-term legacy .

From an odds perspective, you’ll find James Anderson at 9/4 while his counterpart Stuart Broad can be backed at 11/4. Mark Wood will be getting a big opportunity to step up and make his presence felt with the bookmakers listing him at a 4/1 margin. Ben Stoakes is another with a big chance this summer and he’s available to be backed at a 5/1 margin.

Expect some good quality stuff form Moeen Ali who might be an interesting bet at 8/1 if England can take advantage of the turning pitches and the Australians inability to play against spin.
