The bookies are certainly expecting things to be a bit closer this time around as England are set to take on India in the ODI Series after the 4-0 test whitewash that saw England continually beat up on the former #1 side (emphasis on former) with several full innings victories serving as the proverbial icing on the cake.

England remain firm favourites with an 8/11 price tag and it appears as though the best side on the planet should be able to get a result over the next few fixtures. Today's t20 match will certainly offer up a bit of insight into how the proper 50 overs fixtures will unfold. With much of the England test team confirmed to be in the mix for the ODI Series, India may look towards younger, hungrier players to get the job done here.
India can be backed at just above evens with many bookmakers pricing them at 11/10 at the outset of the series. Expect a rather sharp swing after the first ODI match but don't expect a huge amount of movement following a twenty20 fixture – unless a high-profile player receives an injury.
India had three tour matches against the likes of Sussex, Kent and Leicestershire – getting the result in each of the matches. The side is still rather depleted though and it will require many of their new players and fringe players to step up and make a genuine statement after the shambles the Indian public were forced to endure.
Rahul Dravid is set for his t20 debut today – proof-positive that India are in the middle of some injury trouble. MS Dhoni will be captaining the side today as England look for their first twenty20 victory since 2009 at Lord's.
For today's fixture, England trade at a 4/6 price tag with India available at a 6/5 margin. In-play volume is expected to be high so don't be surprised to see a few wild swings.
