England Reveal Moody Injury Ahead of Six Nations

The English side for the upcoming Six Nations tournament was dealt a blow when it was confirmed that captain Lewis Moody’s knee would likely rule him out of the opening three fixtures of the rugby union international showpiece. As it currently stands, the Bath legend will definitely miss the first two fixtures against Wales and Italy, though he could return for the widely-anticipated fixture between England and France.
Mike Tindall and Nick Easter are said to be the most probable replacements.
Despite this setback, most major bookmakers have England listed as the very slim favourites to secure the Six Nations victory. The Three Lions are priced around a 15/8 margin with France considered most likely to upset England’s chances with a 9/4 listing.
Ireland can be backed at an 11/4 price and many consider them the only other plausible winner with Wales at 6/1, Scotland at 16/1 and perennial basement-dwellers Italy trading at a massive 250/1.
The Grand Slam appears to be a real long shot for England with a 9/2 price currently being floated. Punters are expected to line up to back England for a Triple Crown score, however, with an 11/4 price available for that particular feat.
England to win three of their matches is the current favoured outcome and it’s priced around 11/8. Four victories is trading at 13/8 while England to get skunked pays a massive 300/1.
