In their second fixture of the series England were tasked with a chase that should have been attainable had they actually played to their potential but they were completely undone by an impressive knock from Rain who officially ended his draught with the bat and was able to notch up his first century in quite some time. 

It wasn’t just the numbers that Raina put up but the manner in which he achieved them that will help instill some confidence in the beleaguered India side going forward.
