Harry Redknapp Odds for Euro 2012 England Manager

It was a dramatic evening for virtually all England fans as Fabio Capello's shock resignation was tabled – on the very day that Harry Redknapp was acquitted of tax evasion for alleged irregularities during his tenure at Portsmouth. His co-defendant Milan Mandaric was also acquitted on the day. Neither remain affiliated with Pompey.

Redknapp now trades as low as 2/7 according to popular bookmaker Stanjames.com.
Prior to Capello's resignation, Redknapp was made the hot favourite to be the next England manager with bookies clipping him to 1/2. Following the news that Capello had resigned, the price was shortened again to 2/7.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had no comment to make on whether Redknapp would finish out the season with his high-flying Spurs side or whether he would accept the England position and immediately begin moving forward with the team set to campaign this summer in Poland and the Ukraine.
It will be interesting to see whether Redknapp moves to take the job immediately or sees out the season – possibly with Stuart Pearce serving as an interim manager until the end of the season. Should Spurs wind up waiting until the end of the season to release Redknapp it may complicate things as managers like Roy Hodgson and Jose Mourinho are expected to be available at that point in time as well.
The manager reshuffling has not affected England's odds to win Euro 2012.
