Now that he's been cleared of wrongdoing in a tax evasion charge that could have sent his lengthy career into a genuine tailspin, Harry Redknapp and Milan Mandaric walked free at Southwark Crown Court this afternoon.

In response to this acquittal, a number of bookmakers have stopped taking bets on Redknapp to be the next England manager, or even take over the role prior to Euro 2012 as Fabio Capello's presence begins to wear on a surprising number of England supporters.
BetVictor continues to list a price on Redknapp to be next England manager and you'll find him as short as 1/3 to take over from Fabio Capello at any stage. There is little genuine competition in regards to the odds as the closest price looks to be Jose Mourinho at a much lengthier 10/1 price tag. Roy Hodgson sits at 12/1 while Alan Pardew sits at 16/1.
Stuart Pearce's odds for the England manager's job are as long as 20/1.
David Beckham is interestingly-priced at 25/1 and hey how about Kevin Keegan taking the reigns once again. Ol' Keggy Keegles sits at 33/1 for another proper go of shouting at England for a few months.
The news that Redknapp is likely to move onto the national position is sure to cause some unrest among Spurs fans, who have been enjoying a real resurgence and are actually still in the mix for the Premier League title despite long odds and plenty of competition from City and United.
Jose Mourinho and David Moyes are the joint 5/1 favourites to take over at Tottenham if Harry was to leave. Mourinho's name is usually bandied about for any higher-profile position on English shores but he did reiterate that he was looking to return to England soon enough in the right capacity. Fabio Capello and, wait for it, Tim Sherwood are priced at 8/1 for the Spurs job as well.
