Hernandez Should Continue Run in Side
- By Lewis Doe on March 18, 2011 08:32 GMTJavier Hernandez should continue his run in the starting line up of Manchester United in the Premier League game against Bolton.
Hernandez has been arguably the best attacking player at the club over the last few weeks and he appears to be happy with his role in the side. It will be an easy decision for Sir Alex Ferguson because he knows exactly what he is going to get from the little Mexican.
Hernandez is productive for a number of reasons and looks to be the bargain buy of last summer as United snapped him up for around £6 million when his market value today could be in excess of £20 million.
The thing that makes Hernandez so difficult to play against is the fact that he never stops moving. He is an extremely quick and fit player who will run a defence ragged for an entire match. He switches from one defender to another in no time at all which causes chaos in the opposition as players are constantly switching to mark him.
Pace is everything to strikers and this is something that Chicharito has to burn. Hernandez can turn and run past most defenders in the Premier League which makes him a good player to play on the shoulders of a defence. His finishing is good enough that once he gets inside, there is very little chance he’s going to miss.
Improvisation is also a key part of Hernandez’s game and something that he’s shown on a constant basis. The best strikers to have ever graced the game have always shown good signs of improvisation because this turns nothing situations into important match turning goals.
Attitude and behaviour are two things that have won Hernandez a lot of praise since he joined United before the last World Cup. Hernandez always has a smile on his face and always gives one hundred per cent for the team. He runs around like a mad man even when he does not have the ball.
Hernandez is a key part of the way United are attacking at the moment and he’s getting into the most advanced attacking positions. If there is an early chance against Bolton then there’s a good chance Hernandez will be on the end of it.
