Javier Hernandez Looking to Cash-in

Hernandez has been in good form this season, which is amazing considering that he has rarely been in the side for longer than one or two games. This is only due to the good form of Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov but Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to rest his two main strikers for this match.
The one thing Ferguson will want from his team in this game is pace and quick movement of the ball. The Mexican forward is a player that can do both of these things regardless of his position on the pitch. Hernandez’s pace along will scare the life out of the Crawley defence and it could lead to one or two goals.
The other positive thing about Hernandez’s game is that he always plays with a smile on his face and seems to genuinely enjoy his football. This can rub off on other players and it’s important they remember the occasion of the FA Cup and the importance the competition carries instead of allowing complacency to creep in.
United are likely to go with a 4-4-2 formation for this game but Hernandez is capable of leading the attack in a 4-5-1 if Ferguson wants to cram the midfield with quality to ensure that Crawley don’t get a single piece of the ball. However, Hernandez has had most of the success in his career from playing in a 4-4-2.
Crawley are not going to make things easy for United so it’s important there are players on the pitch who can make something out of nothing for the home side. Hernandez has scored goals this season in the Premier League that have been superb pieces of improvisation such as the backwards header he scored away at Stoke City.
Hernandez will bring other players into the game which will be important because Crawley will look to snuff out the biggest attacking threats United possess early in the game. If Hernandez has two defenders on him then it’s important he can play little passes back into the midfield or out wide to try and get others involved.
Hernandez is currently 7/2 to score the first goal of the game and 5/6 to score at any point.
