Now that things are underway at the Tokyo Olympics, virtually everybody is starting to pay attention to the athletics competitions - always one of the most widely-anticipated parts of every Olympiad. In the Men’s 100m we have one of the first years in recent memory where Usain Bolt is not actually involved.

This has opened up the opportunity for a number of other contenders to step in and make a big impression. Trayvon Bromell is considered to be the outright favourite and he’s priced around an 11/8 listing. Akani Simbine is listed as a 6/1 shout alongside Ronnie Baker. Andre De Grasse is another interesting option at a 9/1 price tag.

Noah Lyles gets the nod in the 200m at an odds-on price of about ⅘ with several top bookmakers. Andre De Grasse can be backed around a 4/1 price tag while Kenneth Bednarek is trading around a 9/2 listing.

With the absence of Shaqarri Richardson from the women’s 100m following her positive test for cannabis, it looks like Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price is considered to be the outright favourite to win the gold medal. Right now, you can back her at an 11/10 price tag while Elaine Thompson-Herah is priced at a very solid 13/8 margin.

Dina Asher-Smith is the third favourite for the 100m with a 9/2 price tag, and she’s available around the same price to win the 200m.
