Right now, you’ll find Koepka available at a 9/1 price and that may actually tempt a few punters backing him on the each-way to finish within the top 5 or so contenders in the tournament. That would make a lot of sense and he has certainly shown that he can tangle with the best of them at the top courses all over the world - particularly in major championships.
Matt Kuchar remains deadlocked alongside Koepka and Spieth for Open glory and he is trading a ways back in terms of his outright price at a listing as high as a 12/1 shout. He could certainly be one to watch going forward but it seems as though the punters and bookmakers alike seem convinced that he is a player who is going to fade out a bit as the tournament continues and could be viewed as more of a Day one hero than anything else.
Paul Casey remains right up there in terms of price and you’ll find him in the mix at a 14/1 margin and looking very solid on the leaderboard. He’s an accomplished and skilled player who really hasn’t quite hit the big time - but you certainly wouldn’t be shocked to see him put in a good performance here.
As usual, you’ll also find Hideki Matsuyama amongst the top contenders and the Japanese national can be backed at a solid price of around 20/1 - making him an excellent each-way opportunity.
