The Masters Latest Betting Tips PT 1

The Masters kicked off this morning at Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia as the premiere major championship of the year looks set to entertain once again. There are a number of very interesting subplots set to unfold, not the least of which is the return of Tiger Woods - who if he could muster up a winning performance here would likely set the world of sports alight once again.

It seems like long ago when Woods was wowing us in the late 1990s with his incredible skill at Augusta - playing golf in a way that many of us had never actually even seen before. 

One thing that must be admitted is the fact that Woods has seen a considerable run on his price in the last 24 hours with steam coming in late knocking him down from a 40/1 margin with a number of top European bookmakers, all the way down to a 25/1 margin at the time of this writing. 

As it currently stands, Charley Hoffman was able to close out the day’s play with a -5 score that sets him up as the sole leader though many of the top contenders are early in their rounds. In the case of Woods, some haven’t even teed off yet so there is a lot of action still set to unfold. 

Hoffman has seen his price tumble down to a 33/1 margin that places him right there amongst the main contenders. 

Rory McIlroy is the main choice right now for a number of punters and the Northern Irish player is trading at a very slim 6/1 margin that makes him very difficult to back on an each-way bet. Bubba Watson, the defending Masters Champion, is the only other player currently trading at a single digit price and you’ll find the American available at an 8/1 listing.
