Tiger Woods Listed as Favourite in BMW Championship
- By A.J. Ryder on September 6, 2018 18:54 GMTAfter putting together a really good series of shots in the opening day's action at the BMW Championship, Tiger Woods appears to be rolling back the years and putting himself in Prime contention to secure his first PGA Tour victory in a number of years. it is a typical of him - a player who usually closed very strongly - to be so far out in advance on the opening days play at a major tournament like this one.
Tiger Woods had originally come into the contest not listed as one of the outright favorites but certainly in the mix amongst the top 10 or so possible selections. It goes without saying however that Tiger Woods tends to be over bet in these types of situations as golf fans are waiting for him to get back to his absolute best that we saw several years ago.
At the time of this writing Woods was out to a three-shot lead on the opening day's action at the BMW Championship and he looks to be continuing that Stellar series of performances going forward.
He remains a significant favorite on the opening day's play ahead of his closest competitor Justin Thomas who is the only other Contender who is trading at a price within the single-digit range.
The likes of Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka are also lurking not too far off and will certainly be looking to seize on any opportunities should tiger falter over the subsequent days play.
There is a lot to like about his ability as he looks to put together a lot of momentum prior to his inclusion in the 2018 Ryder Cup team and Tiger Woods looks as though he's in Prime position to make a major statement here at exactly the right time.
