A return to Premier League action sees both Arsenal and Manchester United at odds-on prices to pick up three points from their respective fixtures this Saturday.
Manchester United return to Old Trafford, where they are unbeaten all season in all competitions, having lost their last two Premier League fixtures on the road. Bolton are the visitors and The Trotters are looking for their first win at the Theatre of Dreams since September 2002.
Both teams won their respective FA Cup quarter final fixtures at the weekend and could potentially meet in the final of the competition after avoiding each other in the semi final draw.
The home team can be backed at odds of 4/11 to pick up all three points, the draw is 7/2 and a Bolton win is 17/2. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have been winning at half time and full time in 14 of their last 15 home matches, and are an even money bet to improve on that statistic here.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are both out of form and low on confidence. Having been eliminated from three competitions in as many weeks the Gunners now have just the Premier League to contest.
This weekend they make the potentially tricky trip to relegation threatened West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies have enjoyed a renaissance under new manager Roy Hodgson and are unbeaten in their last four league games.
Arsene Wenger’s side are priced at odds of 4/6 to pick up all three points with the draw available to back at 11/4 and West Brom at 4/1.
At the bottom of the table the weekend’s two big fixtures involve two managers that are under severe pressure at their respective clubs.
Blackburn host Blackpool with manager Steve Kean working in the knowledge that one more poor result could be his last. Rovers are just one point above the relegation zone and are priced at 5/6 for the win here with Blackpool at 7/2 and the draw 5/2.
Wigan are currently rooted to the foot of the table and although Roberto Martinez has been given a vote of confidence by his employers a victory over fellow relegation strugglers Birmingham is essential.
The Latics are quoted at odds of 6/5 to pick up all three points with Birmingham at odds of 11/4 and the draw is 9/4.
