US OPEN 2010 FINAL BETTING NADAL VS DJOKOVIC A RELENTLESS BATTLE TO THE END
After a brief rain delay, the 2010 US Open men’s singles final between Rafael Nadal was back on, picking up from where it left off at 4-4, 30-30 in the second set. Live-In-Play markets re-opened along with it.
Across all platforms, at the time the match commenced, Nadal was the serious favourite, approaching the 1/10 mark, all the while Djokovic was floating further away from Evens.
But, Djokovic wasn’t down and out yet and he showed what he was worth when he clinched the second set with some unshakeable and resolute play. It marked the first time Nadal dropped a set in the entire tournament.
In spite of that commendable effort, Djokovic remained the underdog, and significantly so.
Going into the third set, it was a level playing field but Nadal was still the firm favourite in the match. A quick service break early on in the third set and markets swung enthusiastically in his favour as the Spaniard pulled ahead.
Prices on Nadal fluctuated between 1/6 and 1/9 before dipping to 2/13 at the tail end of the third set. Winning the third set would give Nadal the 2-1 edge over Djokovic in the match. Djokovic is tipped at 15/4.
A whole slew of Live-In-Play markets are currently available from set betting to specific game betting, which includes correct game scores to correct game points, and much, much more.
As expected, this match is delivering a high-level contest and the winner is still far from certain. Nadal might look like he’s on the verge of pulling ahead right now but Djokovic is really giving him a fight to remember.
All bets are off and it’s really anybody’s game right now. May the best player win! Vamos!
