William Hill Promo Code for 3rd England Test

Having wrapped up their spot as winners of the Wisden Trophy one more time against West Indies, Andrew Strauss' England side are favoured to name a tentative lineup as several players will be rested in the third and final test at Edgbaston. This has presented a very interesting betting opportunity as virtually all major bookmakers have listed the draw as the odds-on selection with in the outright market.

Jimmy Anderson will not line up and this opens the door for Steve Finn to make a statement prior to the ODI series. The upcoming one-day international matches offer Windies a genuine opportunity to get back some momentum.

Kevin Pietersen has retired from one day international cricket effective last week so punters can expect him in the test series to still play with some panache knowing he doesn't have to reserve himself for a few more gruelling one-dayers against a more accomplished West Indies lineup.

Chris Gayle's presence and the controversy that invites to the Windies camp may also be a factor in this final test fixture. The internationally-focused Gayle has just returned from the IPL – having chosen to play there this winter than for the Windies sides.

As it currently stands, England are priced at 11/8 for the outright win while the draw trades at 8/11. West Indies are a massive 12/1 to get the best of England here but one has to reckon that it will be a seriously accomplished effort (or a dramatic collapse from the host nation) to get the outright result.

Edgbaston is expected to be a batsman's wicket, especially in the earlier part of the fixture, Strauss and Cook are expected to be the main candidates for Man Of the Match honours. Bookmakers have them trading at 8/1 prices while Stuart Broad sits at 9/1 ahead of Kevin Pietersen and Jonathan Trott – both at 10/1.

England reward at 1/4 for the 1st innings lead and punters can expect the live betting on this one to be particularly active as many will be waiting to see who wins the toss and what the specific weather conditions are looking like over the next few days.
