There's more than a few contenders still in the mix for the Wolves gig following Mick McCarthy's exit. It was a bit tough on the well-liked Irish manager but the brass at Molineux seemed convinced that a change was necessary in order to stave off relegation. Leeds United fans already have their fingers crossed that McCarthy will show up at Elland Road and lead them back to the promised land.

The business at hand remains the position at Wolves with Steve Bruce starting to accumulate endorsements from a number of sources. He's trading as the co-favourite right now alongside Brian McDermott.
Both contenders trade at a relatively competitive price of 5/2.
McDermott is still at Reading right now and they will likely do their best to hang onto him. Bruce is currently without a gig after his exit at Sunderland (who have improved drastically under Martin O'Neill).
The favourites position for the Wolves job has had six different headliners at various points since McCarthy's exit. Gus Poyet remains in the mix, though he is currently at Brighton, and trades at a relatively competitive 11/4. Lee Clark sits at 10/3 and then the odds take a significant jump for the rest of the chasing pack.
Graeme Souness is priced at 14/1 and you reckon he probably wouldn't be the first-choice selection amongst neither the fans nor the Wolves brass. Roy Keane is trading at 20/1 and, though it would certainly be a left-field solution, he may be just the one to step back in.
Chris Hughton also trades at 20/1 while Darren Ferguson is at 33/1.
