Novak Djokovic's steady climb to the upper echelons of men's tennis looks to be nearing its summit as he is currently listed as the distinct favourite to win the 2011 US Open. With Djokovic looking especially dangerous in his past few fixtures (at least the one's that he's been able to finish) you can expect his price to get even shorter as the tournament progresses.

As it currently stands, punters will find Djokovic trading as low as 6/4 – the price that usually used to be associated with the likes of Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer in their prime.
For much of the past few years, Djokovic was seen as the quintessential spoiler sitting just outside of the top two in the world. This is definitely not the case anymore with Rafa Nadal trading as high as 4/1 for a tournament victory.
Up-and-coming Andy Murray, still searching for that first major victory, is the third favourite with many bookmakers pricing him as low as 9/2. This puts him ahead of Roger Federer and could serve as a real boost to the Scotsman as he seeks that elusive major title.
Roger Federer, at this point, is considered to be the only other plausible victor carrying a somewhat short price tag. Punters will find the Swiss Master trading at 11/2. The odds then take a rather big jump to 16/1 for Juan Martin Del Potro – the next best-priced contender.
The usual assortment of challengers hover in the 20/1-25/1 margin and they include the likes of Mardy Fish, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Robin Soderling, who has shown the ability to be a giant-killer in the past, is trading at a hefty 40/1.
Ladbrokes is refunding all losing outright wagers if Andy Murray wins the 2011 US Open.
