England Odds-on for Edgbaston Test After Day One

It's starting to look like more of the same for India as they were again bowled out quickly in their first innings against England. Losing the toss and being forced to bat under cloudy skies on day one, the soon-to-be #2 test side in the world found themselves once again at the mercy of Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan as England's up-and-coming seamers found conditions to their liking and capitalized.
India were bowled out for 224, which actually looks a relatively impressive score considering they were veering towards a 130 all-out at one point in the day's session. Only M.S. Dhoni emerged from the day with anything resembling batting credibility.

India continue to look overwhelmed by England's four-man attack.
A seemingly lucky instinctive catch by Alastair Cook at silly following a prod from Ishant Sharma was an appropriate way to end the first Indian session.
As it currently stands, punters will find the English side trading around 1/2 for the outright victory at Edgbaston. This is a win that will clinch the series and confirm England's #1 spot at the top of the test cricket ladder – something that seemed impossible back when England were going into the Ashes as underdogs.
Attention is now turning to day two and England are favoured to post a score well into the 400s if the bookmakers current over/under is anything to be believed. At the time of this writing, Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook were putting together a solid early partnership – something that has eluded the pair throughout the two previous test matches. In the eighth over of the day, both Cook and Strauss were odds-on to get to 50.
