Fighting to the Finish at the Stanley Cup Finals

Tensions are mounting in advance of the final game at the Stanley Cup playoff series, scheduled for June 15th, at 8pm (EST) in Vancouver. Though home-ice advantage has the odds pitted in favor of the Canucks, the boys from Vancouver are still feeling the sting of the Bruins’ piercing 5-2 defeat from Game 6 in Boston. Bottom line: it’s still anyone’s game and it ain’t over till the last puck swings.
Why Boston
Riding on the sentimental tailwinds of their injured right winger, Nathan Horton (side-lined since Game 3 after suffering a concussion from a late hit by Canucks’ defenseman, Aaron Rome), the Bruins set a new Stanley Cup Final record when they scored an astounding four goals in fewer than four and a half minutes during Game 6. Horton, who was broadcast over the scoreboard during the game’s first time out, apparently sent his team into a goal-scoring frenzy after mouthing a tearful ‘thank you' into the cameras as fans cheered him on. If he can pull off that kind of effect in Game 7, the Bruins' will surely take the game and the series.
Why Vancouver
With a potential first-ever Stanley Cup title dangling over their heads like a carrot, you can bet that the Canucks’ will be doing everything in their power to work the home-ice mojo tomorrow night in Vancouver. (No pressure, guys!)
