George St-Pierre and Josh Koscheck Finally Hit the Cage in UFC 124

One of the most widely-anticipated UFC events is going to unfold at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada as the latest edition of the Ultimate Fighter is building to its penultimate conclusion. There is a lot at stake and with living-legend GSP set to battle in front of a hometown crowd, bookmakers everywhere are expecting this to be one of the biggest-volume UFC events ever in terms of betting.

There are five bouts on the main card and there is plenty of action ahead for mixed martial arts fans if these bouts deliver on potential.

Thiago Alves goes into his fight with John Howard as a massive 1.33 favourite with the American trading at a 3.4 listing. An Alves KO or TKO pays nearly even money with a 6/5 price floated at the time of this writing.

Mac Danzig vs Joe Stevenson looks a similar story with Stevenson priced at 1.33 and Danzig available at 3.4. Stevenson boasts a solid record but comes into the fight off a loss by doctor stoppage against Jake Ellenberger.

Brazilian Charles Oliviera is a prominent favourite at 1.57 against American Jim Miller, who is available at 2.45. This bout has a sniff of a potential upset to it and you can count on Miller being prepared for Oliviera's approach. Interestingly enough, Miller won the last time he was on a GSP undercard.

Heavyweights Stefan Struve and Sean McCorkle should be an intriguing contest and the Dutchman is priced as the 1.6 favourite while undefeated McCorkle can be had at a 2.35 price. Struve tends to be involved in great fights and he'll be counting on his UFC experience showing through as McCorkle is only facing off in the Octogon for the second time.

George St-Pierre has been a dramatic favourite for this fight since the market was created and right now he's trading at a slim price of 1.2. Josh Koscheck is a lengthy 4.75 and he'll be delivering a great return should he pull off what would be one of the biggest upsets in UFC history. The entire country of Canada might take a day off if GSP doesn't win.
