Rain Washes Out Thursday at Sony Open in Hawaii

Heavy overnight rains at Waialae Country Club washed out Thursday’s first round of the Sony Open in Hawaii. The first round will now be played on Friday, with the second round set for Saturday.
The final two rounds are scheduled for Sunday. The cut will be to the number nearest 60 rather than the low 70s and ties, although all players in the top 70 will get credit for making the cut and will get a share of the purse.
The odds have not changed so check out yesterday's analysis for a preview of Friday's opening round.
