The Maters Snooker 2010 Betting Odds
- By Allan Pederson on January 12, 2010 01:20 GMTThe 2010 edition of the Masters Snooker tournament is well under way and we actually have Ronnie O’Sullivan available for backing at an enticing price for once.
What a refreshing occurrence to see snooker’s top cat listed at 5/2 outright to win the tournament. John Higgins, always a contender, is trading at a solid 5/1 while Mark Selby can be backed at 11/2. These are your three first-choice contenders, and with the odds so good on O’Sullivan, we’ll likely see the other two rising in price.
Your outside candidates include Shaun Murphy at 15/2, Stephen Maguire at an 8/1 price while Neil Robertson trades at 11/1. The odds then take another significant jump to Allister Carter at 16/1 while Peter Ebdon, Mark Allen and Mark Williams all trade at a 20/1 price. Ryan Day can also be backed at 22/1.
Joe Perry (not the Aerosmith one) is listed at 40/1 while Stephen Hendry and Mark King bring up the rear at 66/1.
Stephen Maguire is heavily favoured to defeat Mark King in action today. You’ll find Maguire priced out at 1/3 against King’s 9/4. At Ladbrokes, they’ve got about a dozen different markets on each match-up and live betting will be featured throughout.
You can choose from match betting, frame betting, handicap betting, first frame and total frames as well as centuries. First colour potted is available as well as highest break and first frame total points scored. You can also bet on who will pot the first ball of the match.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is listed at 2/5 to win his match-up with Neil Robertson tomorrow while Ali Carter trades at 8/13 to beat Mark Williams. Robertson is 7/4 to pull off the upset while Williams looks a better bet to get the reverse with a 6/5 price. On Wednesday, we have 2/5 John Higgins taking on Mark Allen at 7/4. Ryan Day is well-priced at 4/7 to beat Joe Perry at 5/4. This one could go either way.
