- By A.J. All the big names are still around here and we’ll see more than a few of them in action tonight as they look to secure passage through to the quarter finals.

Already progressed are James Wade and Simon Whitlock, who will square off tomorrow evening along with hot favourite Michael van Gerwen and the heavy underdog Dave Chisnall.
For tonight’s action, we’re looking at Paul Nicholson and Wes Newton kicking things off and this one really couldn’t be much closer. The bookmakers have floated Nicholson at an even money price in the wagering with Newton just getting the slightest of edges at 4/5.
Stephen Bunting and Gary Anderson will be up next and this is not quite as close-looking of a contest with Bungting the 6/4 underdog while Anderson looms large at 8/15. Watch out for the live wagering during this match-up as it could take a few interesting swings early on if things don’t go exactly according to plan for Gary Anderson. The opening two matches will make it tricky to play four-folds but anybody who gets through should have relatively clear sailing thanks to the short odds favourites in the contests coming up shortly afterwards.
Phil Taylor isn’t quite the force he was even a year ago but he’s trading as the 2/9 favourite to dispose of Michael Smith. Taylor has been leaving it late in the matches that he actually has won and you have to wonder just how many punters will be trying to beat The Power.
