CLICK THE BOX TO THE LEFT TO SEE OUR LATEST ARTICLE ON THE CHRISTMAS #1 SINGLE!
The end of the year is always an interesting time for punters that don’t usually bet to get out there and have a festive flutter. It doesn’t matter whether you’re looking for snowfall on Christmas day odds or you’re looking to predict the UK’s #1 Christmas single- there’s plenty of competition among bookmakers to offer up the best odds and prices on this festive betting specials.
KEEP IN MIND THAT THE ODDS QUOTED WILL BE DROPPING AS WE GET CLOSER TO CHRISTMAS AND IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO BACK RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE FOR THE CHRISTMAS # 1 YOUR BEST ODDS ARE AT BETFAIR! BUY THE SONG ON ITUNES AND THEN BACK RAGE TO WIN!
There has been plenty of controversy with the predicted backlash against the X-Factor winner Joe McElderry getting gifted the Christmas #1 single. Many X-Factor haters have organized themselves and plan on a mass vote for the song “Killing in the Name” by Rage Against The Machine. Considering the fact that the song is over 15 years old, it says something for the staying power of Zach de la Rocha and Co. Rage Against the Machine can be backed at Betfair without the X-Factor winner and are a virtual lock at 1.2. Most pundits do think that McElderry will wind up being awarded the Christmas 31 single and he is also trading at 1.2 to do so. Should anybody pip him to the coveted title,  Rage Against the Machine look by far the best candidates to do so, you’re looking at a hefty 4.6 payout.
Betfair is also offering up betting on the #1 Christmas Album and this one looks to be an absolute lock for Susan Boyle. She’s offered at a best price of 1.03 while her closest competition looks to be JLS who are trading at 17.0. The Soldiers trade at 21.0 while Michael Buble can be backed at 36.0. Not even the Pope can get any divine intervention here and he’s trading at 50.0. I wonder when him and Rage Against the Machine will team up?
I’m still yet to find a market that pits the X-Factor winner directly against Rage Against the Machine, but you never know- we could be in for a massive surprise on Christmas Day.
