Bet365 Bonus and 2012/13 English Premier League Betting Odds

Now that the Euro competition is behind us, we can finally begin looking forward to the 2012/13 English Premier League season. If the odds listed by the bookmakers are anything to be believed, the epicentre of English football is centred in Manchester as both City and United look to be the two major candidates to hoist the trophy at the end of the year.

A substantial amount of possible moves are emanating from Eastlands as several high profile players look set to go. Or not go.

United have brought in Shinji Kagawa and are set to make at least one or two more acquisitions with many observers expecting Leighton Baines to come in as a new left back while the centre of mid-field is also a priority.

Things are getting interesting at Arsenal as it now looks like Robin Van Persie will leave, likely for Manchester City, and this will set off a chain of events that would see Eden Dzeko leave while question marks also exist over top of Sergio Aguero.

Regardless of all this, City are the betting favourites to retain their title, which they only secured on goal difference thanks to an extra time goal. City are available at a slim 5/4 and punters may want to hold off on that price as it will likely drift up and down – especially if United start strong this time around.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men can be backed around 9/4 and they are certainly capable of pulling this one off. They will be extra determined to do so and it appears that the real priorities will be getting the newcomers to gel and then moving the newer, younger players through. Tom Cleverley's return will be widely anticipated.

Chelsea look to be the only other side that has a chance of challenging for the title and you can find the defending Champions League title holders at a 9/2 price tag to pull off an unlikely win Premier League victory. To be honest, they are a quality price and with a good early-season run of form would likely find themselves at a shorter price come November.

Arsenal are trading at 12/1 and much will be expected of their new cast of characters. Spurs can be backed at 20/1 and that's a very interesting outside option – they will challenge for a top four spot this year. Liverpool trade at 25/1.

Newcastle remain the only other genuine upstarts out there and they're a massive 150/1 to win the English Premier League.
