Boxing Day Premier League Betting Tips Part 1

There is plenty of action and excitement ahead of us on a stellar set of Boxing Day fixtures as the English Premier League gets underway once again after a few days off. There are some crunch fixtures set to develop and things are looking pretty tight in a majority of these races. Over the course of the entire day, only four sides are listed at odds-on prices so there’s plenty of money to be made for punters who get the day correct.

All of the matches except for two of them kick off early with Villa vs Tottenham and Stoke vs Liverpool being the later fixtures.

QPR vs West Brom looks a tricky puzzle to solve and you reckon that a few punters will be betting against QPR - who the bookmakers float as the 5/4 favourite. West Brom have cooled off a bit lately but they still look like a good shout at a 12/5 price. The draw can be had at 21/10 and that’s likely to prove a popular option with punters.

Reading vs Swansea is going to be a fascinating match and either of these sides could win it. The bookies look to be giving a slim edge to Swansea and their 6/4 price is largely buoyed by the impressive result they put together against Manchester United in their last match up. Reading, as well as the outright draw, both trade at 2/1 prices and you reckon it’s going to be all eyes on Michu for this one. If Swansea score early, they’re going to be tough to break down.

Manchester City face an interesting clash against Sunderland with City available at a 4/7 price tag. The Black Cats haven’t really been playing their best stuff this season but a 13/2 price shows that, while they certainly aren’t favourites against the defending Champions, the bookmakers don’t expect it to be a real walk-over either. City play a very dangerous game most of the time, with underwhelming team performances usually glossed over by a late strike courtesy of an individual effort from a talented player. They were lucky to get out of their last fixture with all three points. If they take Sunderland too lightly they might wind up paying the price.
