English Premier League Saturday Betting Preview Pt 2

That’s not the only marquee match-up of the day though, as we have a Merseyside Derby kicking everything off in the opening fixture of the day and Liverpool may be looking a little bit vulnerable after under performing recently. They do, however, go into their match-up against the Toffees as the odds-on favourites to get the victory. Liverpool have proven to be beatable this season - particularly at home as Aston Villa proved so emphatically early on in the season when they picked up a big 1-0 victory.

Much more will be expected of Liverpool - particularly Raheem Sterling as they face off against Roberto Martinez’s side, who are trading at a 16/5 listing to get the outright victory - something that would likely catapult them right back into a challenge for a European place and likely send Liverpool’s hopes reeling. A loss like that in front of the Kop, at this stage in the season, could be devastating to the morale of Brenda Rodgers men - who came so close to winning it all last year.

The draw is an 11/4 shout here.

Chelsea face off against Aston Villa afterwards and they go into their match as the biggest favourite of the day to dispose of the Villains, who have had a pretty quality start to the season. They are currently trading at a very slim 2/9 price tag while the draw can be backed at a 6/1 margin. Aston Villa are trading at a very hefty 15/1 margin to get the victory here at Stamford Bridge and they would be making a big statement even by giving this in-form Chelsea side a genuine challenge.

Jose Mourinho looks to have unearthed some very good signings and went about his business calmly in the off-season. Now that Chelsea have a genuine goal-threat they can really push Manchester City all the way and are likely going to be the betting choice to win the Premier League Title this year once we head into the business-end of the season.

Crystal Palace vs Leicester City may not look like the best fixture on paper - but hey - both sides have beaten United this year. Matches like this are going to be looked at as early-season six-pointers for both sides and there is a lot to like about this one as it has the chance to be a 0-0 or a 3-3 thriller.
